The Immune
System
Support for
immune function must be a priority when
considering the challenges of fibromyalgia.
We have three products available
which in independent laboratory analyses have
been shown to have properties that are vital in
supporting the immune system function. They are

Transfer factors are small messengers in our
immune system that are vital in providing the
direction which an immune response should take.
They have three functions. They can stimulate
the immune system to begin a response once a
threat against our well-being occurs in our
body. These are called INDUCER fractions.
Transfer factors have another fraction that
identifies the threat that has occurred so that
the stimulated immune system can produce a SPECIFIC
response directed toward that SPECIFIC
threat. This fraction of transfer factors
literally possesses memory. These molecules
circulate throughout the immune system and
provide education about what the threat looks
like by actually carrying what could be compared
to a "wanted poster" around and
in essence tell the immune system cells to
design weapons (antibodies) that will be
effective toward the SPECIFIC threat.
The
germs that threaten us fall into four
categories:
Bacteria
Viruses
Parasites
Fungal Organisms
The way that the
mother protects her newborn against disease is to pack
her first maternal milk (colostrum)
with all of
her immune system knowledge so that her newborn will
have a chance to survive when it is
removed at birth
from the safe, sterile environment
of her womb and
thrust out into a hostile world filled
with disease.
When the newborn nurses, the mother TRANSFERS
certain FACTORS into the newborn.
This INDUCES
the newborn's immune system to
awaken and become able to
RESPOND, and it
instantly teaches the newborn's
immune system
about the SPECIFIC ANTIGENS (germs)
that the
mother has come into contact with.
There are two formulations of transfer factor
products. The first contains just the transfer
factor fractions we've mentioned, the inducer,
antigen specific and suppressor
fractions. The second generation product has
had ingredients added that cause additional
immune system stimulation

People with a chronic illness such as
fibromyalgia should consider beginning with
the CLASSIC TRANSFER FACTOR p®roduct if
getting involved in the fibromyalgia recovery
program for the first month. Here is why. When
re-establishing immune function in a person with
a dysfunctional immune system, one can
precipitate what is called a Herxheimer's
reaction, more commonly called a "healing
crisis". This occurs because as the immune
system becomes more functional, it begins once
again to have the ability to remove damaged and
dead cells that are full of toxins. (Remember
what happens in the downward spiral?) So what
happens? These toxins get spilled into the
circulation and they make you feel - toxic. You
can develop headaches and increased muscle
aches, among other symptoms, just what the
fibromyalgic doesn't need! So it is recommended
that when using transfer factors initially, one
should begin immune system restoration somewhat
slowly, and then in the third month switch
over to the augmented transfer factor product

What
has been discovered is that the transfer factors
that one species produces (like a cow) are
EXACTLY
molecularly identical to those that any other
species (like a human) produces. You see where
this is going? What if we could take an animal,
such as a nice docile cow, and have that animal
out in the environment where it comes into
contact with innumerable ANTIGENS and mounts
immune responses against those threats and
stores those immune system experiences forever
in her body -- what if we could find a way to
remove those transfer factors from her colostrum,
that first maternal milk and put them in our
bodies? How would that benefit us? Especially
the fibromyalgic? Here's how. It would provide a
dysfunctional immune system with the power
that it needed to begin to once again be capable
of beginning the healing processes that are its
responsibility. AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IS
NOW POSSIBLE!
A patented process has been developed that can
remove transfer factors from bovine (cow)
colostrum and we can then consume them on a
daily basis. THESE
TRANSFER FACTORS CAN BE CRITICAL IN PROVIDING
IMMUNE SYSTEM VITALITY.
We earlier mentioned that there were three
fractions of transfer factors and thus far we've
only discussed two. The third is just as
important as the first two. Once an immune
response has been mounted and a threat has been
defeated, it is necessary to turn off the immune
response in order to conserve immune system
resources. In essence we must sound the
"all's clear" to an immune system in
"attack mode". That way it
won't continue to look for a fight when the
battle has been won and in doing so, attack our
own body. This is what happens in the multiple
auto-immune diseases and to a lesser degree in
allergies. There must be a means to announce to
the immune system, "calm down. The fight is
over. You've won. Now get back in a resting
state so you'll be ready for the next
fight". There is a fraction, the third
fraction of transfer factors that does just
that. These fractions are called 'SUPPRESSOR
FRACTIONS'.
As stated earlier, an immune system that is
vital and in balance is a wonder to behold. An
immune system that is dysfunctional, as is the
case in fibromyalgia, is an immune system that
has a great need for the qualities that transfer
factors can and do provide
